 “We were first introduced to Mr Gill at Sandstone through a friend’s recommendation. Mr Gill’s first project with us involved the general repair of our house- which involved the repointing and repair to the roof and drainage system. Following the good standard of work provided we asked Mr Gill to assist us on the complete renovation of a run down property we were buying.

 

 

Mr Gill was involved from the start – working alongside an architect to design a new structure of the house internally – involving the removing and building of new walls as well as a steel structure enabling us to build a vaulted ceiling in our master bedroom. Mr Gill’s team worked on rewiring the house, replastering the walls and ceilings, installation of the 4 bathrooms, designing and building a walk in wardrobe and storage closets, installation of sunbeam light tunnels and a skylight window in the roof, extension of the existing staircase, designing and creating of skirting boards and door frames, installation of a sliding glass door system, creation of a lighting system using Lutron switches as well as all the general painting and wallpapering.

 

Mr Gill was able to outsource tiling, cornicing, wood flooring and installation of a sound and vacuum systems, under his supervision, to trust worthy external teams with whom he has worked with previously.

 

We recommend Mr Gill highly enough for his diligence, care, and quality of work on the renovation of our property. Not only was he involved in the project management and logistics, he was also intimately involved in the design process. Sandstone Building Forces’ work is to a very high standard and we have now been in our house for a year with no major problems. In addition, Mr Gill has been happy and diligent to assist us in any minor repairs also that have been required ex-post. “

(Kingston Upon- Thames Project) 

I commissioned Sandstone to undertake total renovation of my property in Kingston Upon Thames. The company was introduced to me through recommendation and I took the opportunity to invite Mr Jag Gill to provide me with a quote for the entire project.

In our initial meeting, I found Mr Gill to be very knowledgeable and although I was fully aware of the extent of the work and what I wanted to achieve, he helped me to a large extent to breakdown the project into various stages to assist me with my finances and to minimise the interruption taking into account that I have two young children. Mr Gill provided me with an accurate estimate for each phase of the contract, breaking down every aspect of the work to ensure we cover all possibilities and to avoid any misunderstandings at a later stage.

 

The first phase of the contract which included moving the kitchen to the front of the property began on Monday, 17th November 2008. It has now been 4 weeks and this part of the project is coming to an end. Throughout this period, Mr Gill and his team have worked very hard to ensure we have a fully functional kitchen in time for Christmas. I am extremely happy with the end results,  especially in terms of quality of work which I am happy to admit has exceeded my expectations. I add, throughout this time, his team reported for work every day at around 7.30 AM and worked the entire day leaving no earlier than 5.00 PM every evening. On one occasion, they worked 7 days a week to ensure we meet the necessary deadline. I found his staff to be polite and hard working and happy to go the extra mile to make the experience easier for me and my family.

I have now instructed Mr Gill to begin the second phase of the contract which involves renovating the two reception rooms including removing a structural wall.

I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Gill and his company to anyone wishing to take on a building project. Having worked directly with him and they way he conducts his business, I am certain he will deliver the results time after time to ensure his customers are totally satisfied with the work undertaken.
